Save pounds in the Singapore Sale with cheap travel insurance
10/06/2009
The Great Singapore Sale, an annual 8-week shopping bonanza, has kicked off in the Far East city, to where travel insurance with insurewithease starts from a little over £10 for a 5-day trip.
Quality shops in the renowned Orchard Road plus outlets in at least 4 of the city's shopping malls - Marina Square The Centrepoint, VivoCity and Wisma Atria ? are taking part in the sale, which runs until July 26.
Singapore is well-known as a good place to pick up discounted electrical items and its value for money was highlighted in a recent international Shopping Challenge, won by former Apprentice winner Michelle Dewberry and stylebible.com editor Amanda Zuydervelt.
The pair allegedly spent approximately £261 on goods apparently worth over £11,000! Such savings may or may not be available to the average tourist (make your own minds up) but it does seem reasonable to suggest that the city offers some spectacular bargains at this time of year.
Michelle and Amanda said: ""This is credit crunch shopping at its finest, so if you are looking for bargains or want to get your Christmas shopping in early head to Singapore
""The weather is beautiful, the people are kind and courteous and the bargains, well they really are worth the 12-hour flight.""
