- Our single trip travel insurance policies will cover you for a trip of up to 3 months, but if you are planning to be away for longer than this, one of our backpackers policies would cover this up to 12 months. When you start your quote you will be asked to enter the length of your trip, and then we will present you with the travel insurance policies that are most suited to your requirements.

If you're taking out a new policy, make sure that you select the destination that covers all of the trips you plan to take during the 12 month period.
Questions about what's included and not included in a travel insurance policy
- How do I know what's included under my travel insurance policy?
- We advise that you read carefully the Insurance Product Information Document and policy wording documentation before completing your transaction online. These will give you full details of what you're covered for, and the extent of your cover. It is advisable to take these documents with you on your trip so that you can refer to them whenever necessary.

- There has been a terrorist attack recently at my chosen destination, will I be covered to travel there or should I cancel my trip?
- Your travel insurance may not cover you in a country that the Foreign and Commonwealth Office has advised you not to travel to. For advice on countries not to travel to, please see www.fco.gov.uk/travel and refer to your policy documents for the details of cover you have. It's important to note that your policy won't cover the cancellation of a trip that you feel disinclined to take, it will only cover you if you are advised against taking the trip and are unable to obtain a refund from your travel provider.
