Backpackers can save money with air passes
03/10/2007
Backpackers planning on visiting more than one destination could make significant savings by opting for air passes, a guidebook from Cheapflights.co.uk has revealed.
According to the flight search engine, travellers opting for air passes can often make savings of between 25 to 70 per cent, when compared with prices for individual flights.
Among the air passes covered in the guide, which is available to view on the firm's website, are Star Alliance's South Pacific Pass, which enables buyers to island hop their way around Australasia.
Also listed is the Visit South America pass from the Oneworld airline group, which targets those travelling through South America, and allows travel between Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Ecuador and a host of other countries in the region.
Francesca Escery of Cheapflights.co.uk said: "Air passes are brilliant for travellers who wish to get a really good deal without compromising on how many locations they can visit in one go."
