Located in the centre of Beijing, the Forbidden City was once a stunning imperial palace. Consisting of 9,999 rooms and surrounded by a deep moat, the Forbidden City is a magnificent sight. The Summer Palace and the Temple of Heaven are also not to be missed.

Rickshaws are best way to get around the narrow streets, known as hurongs locally. In some ways, the hurongs are the greatest attractions during a holiday in Beijing, as they capture the unique culture of the city.
