British Airways flights and holidays go on sale

British Airways (www.ba.com/sale) has launched its latest flights, hotels and holidays sale with discounts for winter and summer travel, but with the threat of strike action by 12,500 cabin crew still a possibility some passengers may delay booking.
Flights to New York start at £299, a saving of £63, Los Angeles flights are £61 cheaper at £389 and flights to Orlando start at £399 instead of £331.
Winter sun possibilities include flights to Dubai from £325, to Montego Bay in Jamaica from £399 and Sydney from £669.
Short breaks start at £119 per person for three nights in Nice, including flights and two-star room-only hotel accommodation, and £269 pp for three nights in Izmir in Turkey, including flights and five-star half-board hotel accommodation.
Package holidays cost from £439 for a week in the popular Red Sea resort of Sharm El Sheikh, including flights and five-star hotel accommodation with breakfast.
Skiers are being offered discounted flights to the Alps, which start at £39 one-way to Geneva, the gateway to many top French, Italian and Swiss resorts, and £50 one-way to Zurich.
Bookings must be made by January 26 next year.
Meanwhile BA's partner Qantas (www.qantas.com) has announced that it will start flying a double-decker A380 aircraft on the London to Melbourne route from January 22.
The aircraft, which holds more than 500 passengers, will operate up to two flights a week from Heathrow initially and two flights a week regularly from the end of March.
