Budget airline launches summer flights from Manchester
08/10/2009
Jet2.com is adding four new flights from Manchester next summer, by which time it aims to be the largest scheduled holiday airline from the northern airport.
New for next summer are flights to Dubrovnik and Split in Croatia, Reus on Spain's Costa Dorada and Prague in the Czech Republic.
The new routes will give Jet2.com 28 routes from Manchester and passengers living in the vicinity of the airport an extra 140,000 seats for the summer, a 20 per cent increase over this year.
Flights to Prague will start first, on April 1, with fares starting at £19.99 one way. The destination will be served by four flights a week.
Jet2 will offer two flights a week to Dubrovnik from April 29 with fares starting at £49.99 one way including taxes.
There will be two flights a week to Split from May 8, with fares also starting at £49.99.
Reus will be served with two weekly flights from May 25, with fares leading in at £29.99 each way.
Like other budget carriers, Jet2.com is likely to increase fares closer to the flight departure dates.
Meanwhile travel review website TripAdvisor has launched a flight search facility to give UK passengers a selection of the best deals available on the web.
The search facility is already available on www.tripadvisor.co.uk and includes a Fees Estimator to help passengers understand the true cost of a flight. Each fare, including fees and payment charges, is given in a single display.
