Fancy a Festival in Europe this Summer? Don"t Forget Travel Insurance

26/04/2013

There are hundreds of music festivals taking place across Europe this year, so if you can't get tickets for your favourite UK festival, or you simply fancy heading further afield there is plenty of choice if you head across the channel.

Whatever your taste in music there are festivals across Europe to suit you. Including Benicassim in Spain (18-21 July) which has been running since 1995, this year's headliners include Artic Monkeys and The Killers or the Graspop Metal Meeting in Belgium (28 June) featuring Iron Maiden and Slipnot.

It's easy to forget about travel insurance when you are making plans to visit a music festival, there are so many other things to think about and you might not bother in the UK, but if you are heading further afield travel insurance is vital.

Buying travel insurance means that you are protected against the risk of incurring large medical bills if you fall ill or have an accident whilst you are away.

Remember, most other countries don't have state provided health care to the extent that we do in the UK, so if you require emergency medical treatment, and you don't have travel insurance, you will have to pay the bills yourself.

Travel insurance can also provide you with cancellation cover, so if you needed to cancel your trip due to illness or redundancy you could make a claim to recoup your pre-booked and pre-paid travel/ accommodation costs and festival tickets.

With prices starting at just £7.99 for a week in Europe, there is no excuse for travelling without travel insurance.
