FCO Launches Ultimate Travel Guide App

The Foreign and Commonwealth Office has launched a new guide, Plan.Pack.Explore which they are calling the ultimate travel guide for planning a trip abroad.

Plan.Pack.Explore is available online from the FCO website or as an app for iPad, iPhone and Android devices.

The new guide is designed to help prevent you running into preventable problems during holidays abroad or gap year travel and is definitely worth downloading.

The new guide contains a wealth of information for UK holiday makers heading abroad, from travel health advice to explaining what the FCO can and cannot do if you do get into trouble whilst you are away.

There are also guides on getting the right visa, protecting your holiday financially, buying travel insurance and keeping your money safe.

Plan.Pack.Explore also contains contact details, including address, phone numbers and web addresses, for British Embassies around the world - this really handy to have on your phone when you are travelling, particularly if you are going to more than one country.

The FCO is particularly urging those taking a gap year to download a copy of Plan.Pack.Explore to help them prepare for their trip.
