Hurry to bag free lift pass in Switzerland
10/12/2009
Two tour operators are offering free area lift passes for the Swiss resort of Verbier for bookings made by December 18.
The offer from Crystal Finest Ski (www.crystalfinest.co.uk) and Thomson Ski (www.thomsonski.co.uk), is worth £227.
The offer is valid for departures throughout the season, including New Year, but there's a hitch. There are only 100 free passes available so you'll have to hurry to get your hands on one.
Crystal Finest and Thomson also has 2-for-1 lift pass offers at selected resorts for selected properties, though not all are available for peak weeks.
For anyone who fancies a white Christmas but has yet to book their week on the slopes, Crystal, Thomson and other operators still have a number of deals, both to Europe and North America.
One of the best deals is to Arinsal in Andorra, where you can ski over Christmas for just £299 per person, a saving of £386. The price, from First Choice Ski (www.firstchoice-ski.co.uk), includes return flights, half-board accommodation in a two-star hotel and airport transfers.
Planning to start the New Year on the piste? Crystal has an offer of 11-nights in Lake Louise, Canada from £605 per person, a saving of £800, departing the UK on December 26. The price includes return flights and room-only accommodation at the three-star Deer Lodge Winter Park.
Many resorts in Europe and North America are boasting excellent skiing conditions following fresh snowfall this week. For updated snow reports, try the Ski Club of Great Britain on www.skiclub.co.uk
