Invitation to Tuscany at discounted prices

A revamped online booking service for villas in Tuscany is offering holidaymakers a 10 per cent discount on properties booked by March 10.

As an added bonus, all bookings will be entered into a prize draw for one of 10 coffee table books worth £80 each.

The website, www.invitationtotuscany.com, offers a collection of cottages, farmhouses and village apartments as well as holiday villas.

Visitors to the site can search for a holiday villa in Tuscany, check availability and reserve it online for 48 hours without no charge, and book and pay.

Villas in Tuscany can be searched for by region, number of rooms, price or type, such as proximity to facilities. There are properties suitable for family holidays, couples, large parties and luxury holidays.

Information is also provided on pre-bookable options such as cookery classes in Tuscany, wine-tasting sessions in Tuscany, and trips to the opera, plus activities such as cycling, sailing and horse riding.

Prices for villas in Tuscany start at £378 per week for a converted farm building sleeping two on a country estate near Siena, with shared use of a pool.

As an introductory offer, the website is offering an old stone farmhouse on the Tuscany/Umbria border, sleeping six, for £756 for seven nights in low-season, which runs until May 7 and again from October to December.

New properties featured on the site for the first time include an apartment within a villa in Siena, a villa for 19 on the coast near Grosseto and a luxury retreat for 14 with a private pool.
