Motorists advised on making a car insurance claim
29/08/2008
Motorists with car insurance have been advised this how to go about making a claim by one industry expert.
Licensed insurance agency Barry Brenner said that those who have never been involved in an accident are lucky, but still ought to know how to make an insurance claim.
He explained: "The very first thing that you should do when you are involved in a car accident is exchange driver information.
"That is assuming you are not seriously injured. If you are seriously injured, make sure that the following information is collected by someone at the scene of the accident."
After taking this step, motorists should call the police and then contact the car insurance provider, ensuring that they fully understand their policy's terms and conditions beforehand.
In related news, the Islamic Bank of Britain (IBB) has said this week that many British Muslims are unaware that their car insurance may not follow the rulings of their faith.
