New spa treatments for golfers in Barbados
08/04/2008
A series of new spa treatments specifically for golfers have been launched at a luxury resort in Barbados this month.
The Sandy Lane resort has opened a new 47 sq ft spa, which golfers will be able to use to pamper themselves throughout their holidays.
Before heading off for a round of golf, fans of the sport will be able to prepare with a "pre-game tonic" to warm up their muscles and make them more limber.
After the hard work on the course has been done, the Sandy Lane resort's spa invites golfers to treat themselves to a post-game treatment.
This involves a Thai massage to help release the stress of the day from their muscles and there is also the option of a "raw earth pedicure", for those who want to give their feet some extra tender loving care.
Sandy Lane, which describes itself as "the premiere luxury resort in the world", first opened its doors to guests in 1961.
The International Association of Golf Tour Operators voted it 'Golf Resort of the Year' in 2007.
