Passengers urged to check flights

19/03/2008

Passengers travelling with British Airways (BA) from Heathrow Airport have been urged to ensure that they have checked their flight details following the move to the new Terminal 5 building.

From March 27th, BA domestic and European flights - with the exception of Barcelona, Madrid, Lisbon, Nice and Helsinki - will be moved to the new terminal.

Additionally, flights travelling to Tripoli, Johannesburg, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Vancouver, Tokyo, Hong Kong and Miami, will also be relocated.

Robert Boyle, commercial director at BA, said that customers using Terminal 5 can enjoy a "calmer, smoother, simpler" experience at the airport.

"In order for them to arrive ready to fly and knowing what to expect, we've been sending regular communications to them and built a comprehensive microsite to allow them to familiarise themselves with the building and its fantastic facilities," he stated.

travel insurance customers may be interested to know that the new building cost £4.3 billion to complete and has 96 check-in kiosks.
