Travel insurance clients offered accommodation for Euro 2012

Memories of Spain's victory in the UEFA 2008 championship are only just fading and already we are able to give our travel insurance customers the heads up on where to find accommodation for the next European football tournament which will take place in Poland and Ukraine.

Britain's largest tour operator, TUI Travel, has just announced that it will be the official accommodation agency for Euro 2012, though there is still some doubt about which cities will host the matches.

Euro 2012 will kick off in Warsaw on June 9. The final is expected to be held in Kiev on July 9, but only if the specific conditions regarding the stadium, airport and accommodation are met by the end of November this year.

Anyone planning to attend matches can book hotel and self catering accommodation through TUI subsidiary Thomson Sport. The company said it will be collaborating with the organising committee to delivery additional services during the UEFA tournament.

Thomson Sport expects to have about 200,000 beds available across the four host cities in Poland, which have been confirmed by UEFA and four cities in the Ukraine ? including Warsaw ? which have yet to convince the selection committee of their ability to stage the matches.

The tour operator is already the Official Overseas Travel Provider for englandfans and one of the Participating Tour Operators for the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa.
