Tweet if you want to win a cruise
29/01/2010
Twitter users have until February 14 to enter a competition to win a preview of Celebrity Cruises' new ship Celebrity Eclipse.
Entrants must say in 140 characters why they want to be onboard when the ship makes its 26-mile journey along the River Ems from the Papenberg ship yard in Germany to Eemshaven in Holland.
The lucky winners will be given a tour of the ship and they must tweet why this is important to them.
The trip along the River Ems will take place in the middle of March, a month before the ship arrives in the UK for its inaugural celebrations and the naming ceremony in Southampton.
Though only short, it is likely to be an interesting trip along the River Ems as the ship will have to sail backwards, navigating narrow locks along the way.
Entrants must tell the @CelebrityUK twitter profile why they should be given a chance to be one of the first to see the new vessel before midnight on February 14.
Tweets will be judged by the line's UK and Ireland head of marketing Jo Briody, tweeters from the @CruiseCruiticUK twitter feed and cruise tweeter and blogger @CaptGreybeard.
Entries so far include: Floating trees symphonies, flat screen TV's, crepes that indulge me, gelatos to tempt me, the unexpected delights me. Amaze me; and "In the world of Celebrity, even the biggest stars can be Eclipsed. Princess, eat your heart out: Celebrity Eclipse has arrived."
If you can do better, get tweeting.
